*** THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED. THE MEETING IS HAPPENING LATER TODAY (FRI 26/04), SO WE CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE SUBMISSIONS. If you do have general EHCP or other feedback on Hertfordshire SEND services, you are always welcome to get in touch. Your views will be anonymised and shared as appropriate with our reps who are working in the relevant topic areas. ***__________________________________________________________________________Parent carer reps from HPCI are meeting with the Independent Reviewer on Friday this week, to share the experiences of families with the EHCP request and needs assessments process in Hertfordshire. If you have applied for an EHCP for your child or young person in the last 2 years, we'd love to hear your feedback. Whether it was agreed or not, if it happened on time, what the communication was like, if you went on to mediation, appeal or not, whatever felt important to your family.... send it all to contact@hertsparentcarers.org.uk We do already have lots of information from our annual survey, from our conversations with families at community events, from our Involvement Partners and from the work many of our reps do when not volunteering for HPCI, but we'd love to hear anything else you want shared. We'd also like to thank those parent carers who have already got in touch with their thoughts. There's more information about the Independent Review on the HCC website www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/about-the-council/news/news-archive/independent-review-commissioned-to-e...We know the review and the process of parental involvement has caused some debate. Those are largely outside our control. The conversations are encouraging us to reflect on how we explain what we do (as the parent carer forum). For the next two days though, our focus is on making sure we have have as full a set of evidence and views as possible, to take to the meeting on Friday. ... See MoreSee Less
