Different Belongs – Ready to use assembly
The link opposite takes you to a PowerPoint slide pack with notes for teachers. In the slides is a short quiz for groups of children to participate in and a short video clip with a poem.
Time guide: Around 20 minutes
The Poem
The children’s poem is the heart of this project.
You will hear the young writers:
- Reading their own words
- Sharing real experiences
- Supported by images in a video
This helps bring neurodivergent voices into the space in an authentic way.
This was a great assembly because I now understand people who have Autism and ADHD.
